Eligibility Requirements: Each person in the applicant group must have a life-long disability, who can live independently and are in receipt of a recognized disability pension or are considered disabled for income tax purposes. 

Residency Requirements: Applicants must permanently reside in British Columbia when applying, preference will be given to North Shore Residents and must be one of the following:

1) Canadian citizen,

2) an Individual lawfully admitted into Canada for permanent residence. 

Income Requirements: To be eligible for this subsidized housing, each individual applicant’s gross income must be between $28,700-$33,000 ($86,000-$99,000 combined gross per year). The rent would equally between $717-$817 per person, per month, based on each person’s gross annual income.

Asset Requirements: In order to be eligible your household assets must be less than $100,000. NSDRC’s asset policy has been developed to benefit those in greatest need and to offer people with a disability, affordable and accessible housing on the North Shore.
