Accessible Shared Living Opportunity – Ventilator-Dependent Professional Seeking Compatible Roommate
I’m a 45-year-old male with a C2–C3 complete spinal cord injury and ventilator support. I’m a business owner and currently completing a Health Science degree.
I live a fairly structured and organized lifestyle balancing work, school, and health management, so I’m hoping to find someone who values a similar level of responsibility and routine.
I’m exploring the possibility of sharing an accessible living space with another individual with a level of injury who also receives CSIL funding. The goal would be to create a stable and efficient care environment where we could potentially combine resources, improve caregiver scheduling, and offer better pay and consistency for attendants.
Ideally looking for someone who:
• is comfortable managing their own CSIL care and scheduling attendants
• values a calm, respectful living environment
• is responsible and independent in managing their care
• is a young or middle-aged adult, emotionally stable
• is a working professional, student, or entrepreneur
• is open to collaborating on caregiver scheduling and household logistics
The goal would be a cooperative living arrangement where both individuals maintain independence while benefiting from shared resources and a stable caregiving environment.
My care needs include ventilator support and complex care, so the home environment would need to be comfortable supporting professional attendants.
If you think this kind of arrangement could be a good fit, feel free to reach out and tell me a bit about your situation and care setup.
