Description

Now hiring a new caregiver for Bailey (she/her), a 29 year-old quadriplegic who is funny, cool, and really hoping she is about to sell you on this job.

You do not need healthcare or caregiving experience to be good at this job. I’ll teach you everything you need to know. I’m mostly looking for someone reliable, easy to be around, comfortable learning hands-on tasks, and interested in a job that's a little different from your usual part-time gig. my caregivers act as a proxy to help me do everything I want and need to do in a day.

a typical day's responsibilities can include:

  • help getting up and ready for the day including dressing, grooming, and showering
bowel and bladder care (will teach you the ropes, just gotta be open to learning)
  • literally hang out with me
  • cooking
  • light housekeeping
  • run errands with me
  • laundry
  • help walking my service dog (10 year old golden lab)
  • did I mention hanging out with me? unless I want to chill alone then feel free to bring a book, do some homework etc.
  • live my everyday life with me
  • take me to sports practices and movie nights with pals.
  • tuck me into bed

Who I'm looking for

My current team comes from a wide range of backgrounds, and no previous caregiving experience is necessary. Paid training for the right candidate is provided.

Nursing students, HCAs, healthcare workers, and people with disability-support experience often thrive here — but so do people who have never worked in care before.

folks that are:

  • Reliable and communicative
  • Outgoing and community-oriented
  • Able to see disability as value neutral
  • Self-starters
  • Happy working somewhere where no two shifts are necessarily the same

I have flexible shifts for part-time employees across daytime, evening, and weekend hours. successful applicants must have evening and weekend availability.

2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC, trauma informed applicants are encouraged to apply.

All employees start at $25 per hour with raise potential following probation period.

drivers licence, updated criminal record check, and updated covid and flu vaccines are required for successful applicants
